Lee R. Golden – Attorney

Lee R. Golden is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney and is admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, U.S. Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Golden attended Columbia University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering.  Thereafter, Mr. Golden attended the University of Pittsburgh Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1981. 

Mr. Golden regularly provides preventive Patent and Trademark Law counseling to his clients, he has years of work experience protecting intellectual property, litigation and licensing.

Mr. Golden is a highly experienced attorney and possesses comprehensive knowledge about Patent and Trademark Law.  He is currently the head of the litigation section at James Ray & Associates. 

Jeffrey D. Mulrooney – Attorney

Jeffrey D. Mulrooney is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney and is admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar.  He earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2008 where he studied the various forms of intellectual property and the laws protecting same.  Mr. Mulrooney holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Minor in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University.  

While in law school Mr. Mulrooney served as lead reporter and webmaster for The Docket, Case Western’s law school newspaper.  He was also a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society. 

Prior to joining James Ray & Associates, Mr. Mulrooney held clerking positions at Cleveland Medical Devices, Inc. and Orbital Research Inc., where he gained experience in drafting patent applications, responding to patent office actions, drafting patent appeal briefs, and reviewing  contracts.  While clerking, he worked on a wide variety of subject matter including aeronautical control systems, signal processing applications, electromechanical sensors, microelectronic devices, data acquisition systems, electrodes, wireless medical diagnostic devices, therapeutic medical devices, and more.   

Prior to clerking, Mr. Mulrooney worked as an analytical chemist responsible for analyzing environmental samples for commercial and municipal clients.  During that time, he developed new test procedures for analysis of irregular samples.   Additional work history includes time spent as a protocol manager at a microelectronics center where his focus was assisting with the operation of a microelectronic cleanroom facility where Mr. Mulrooney’s duties included setup, maintenance, and repair of microelectronics tools; including plasma etchers, sputtering tools, silicon wafer furnaces, Nikon stepper, and other tools.

At James Ray & Associates, Mr. Mulrooney focuses primarily on patent prosecution, appeals, and litigation.
